DUMBO’s tree lighting is one of Brooklyn’s coziest holiday events. The neighborhood sets up its tree near the Manhattan Bridge Archway and Pearl Street Plaza, strings lights through the street trees and throws a free evening party with music and treats.

After the lighting, walk to the Washington Street viewpoint for the famous Manhattan Bridge photo, then down to Brooklyn Bridge Park for skyline views. Jane’s Carousel, in its glass pavilion on the waterfront, is especially charming in December.

About DUMBO
DUMBO, short for “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass,” is a Brooklyn waterfront neighborhood of cobblestone streets, converted warehouses and some of the best views of Manhattan. The tree lighting takes place near the Manhattan Bridge Archway, a vaulted public space beneath the bridge.
