Westchester’s Winter Wonderland turns Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla into a 1.2-mile drive-through holiday light extravaganza, with a light tunnel, a giant pixel wall, characters and what organizers call Westchester’s largest holiday tree. Proceeds benefit the Westchester Parks Foundation.
The show runs from late November through December 31 (in 2025 it opened November 21). Watch Westchester County Parks for 2026 dates and tickets.

About Kensico Dam Plaza
Kensico Dam Plaza is a Westchester County park at the foot of the Kensico Dam, a massive stone dam completed in 1917 that holds back the Kensico Reservoir, part of New York City’s water supply. The wide plaza makes a dramatic setting for a drive-through light show, with the floodlit dam behind the displays.
Drive-Through Tips
- Reserve a time slot in advance; tickets are per car.
- Tune to the show’s radio station for the music.
- Weeknights are less busy than weekends.
- Check for special themed nights on the county parks calendar.
