Cape May, the Victorian seaside town at New Jersey’s southern tip, is one of the most charming Christmas getaways from New York. Its gingerbread-trimmed houses, inns and churches are decorated in 19th-century style, and the Cape May MAC runs a full season of tours from late November through December.

About Cape May
Cape May, at the southern tip of New Jersey, is one of America’s oldest seaside resorts. After a fire in 1878, much of the town was rebuilt in Victorian style, and today it has one of the largest collections of Victorian buildings in the country. The entire town is a National Historic Landmark District, and its painted “gingerbread” houses and inns are spectacular when dressed for Christmas.
Plan a Cape May Christmas Weekend

- Reserve Candlelight House Tour tickets, then take a trolley or carriage tour of the lights.
