About the Location
The rink is on Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, named for the engineer who oversaw much of the Brooklyn Bridge’s construction after her husband, chief engineer Washington Roebling, fell ill. The plaza sits directly beneath the bridge in DUMBO, so skaters glide under its granite towers and cables.
Make a Day in DUMBO
- Walk the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan, ending right by the rink.
- Skate, then visit Jane’s Carousel and Pebble Beach for skyline views.
- Browse the Brooklyn Flea holiday market on weekends (see Brooklyn markets).
- Come back for the DUMBO tree lighting on December 3.
